Challenges @Industry (2001 – 2005)

2001:

There were many changes undergoing in the financial industry.  Monetary Authority of Singapore activated the Financial Advisory Act.  Ultimately, Singapore’s vision is to be Asia’s financial hub.

Central Provident Board altered its evergreen regulations, allowing its members to freely withdraw deposited funds for approved investments.  CPF Investments Schemes were launced effectively.

I was coping, and playing the new game rules well.  In December, I qualified for company’s President Division Production Club.

July – I did my first “Death Claim”.  Conviction in life insurance strengthened further.

2002:

Apr -  I attended Manulife’s convention @Melbourne, Australia.

December – Another policyholder passed away suddenly.  I was totally shocked as she was only in her thirties.  Nevertheless, I qualified for company’s President’s Council Production Club.

2003:

Apr – I attended Manulife’s convention @Queenstown, New Zealand.

December – I qualified for company’s President’s Council Production Club.

2004:

March – My Korean husband and I went through our customary wedding in Cheon’an, South Korea.

April – I attended Manulife’s convention @Tokyo, Japan.

November – We threw our Chinese wedding banquet  @The Four Seasons, Singapore.

December – I qualified for company’s President’s Council Production Club.

2005:

April – I attended Manulife’s convention @Barcelona, Spain.

June – I finally achieved my first MILLION DOLLAR ROUND TABLE (MDRT) qualification after 10 years in the industry!  The convention was held in New Orleans, USA.  The MDRT experience changed my life, indeed!

August – I attained Master in Business Administration (MBA) of Financial Services.

December – I qualified for company’s President’s Council Production Club.­
